Description: An important body, which is supporting and furthering gender equality work in the Max Planck Society, is the Parity-Based Committee on Questions of Gender Equality. It serves as a gender equality orientated interface and platform for negotiation between the Max Planck Society and the General Works Council. Among other things, the Committee developed the Central Works Agreement on Gender Equality. It is comprised of three representatives each from the Administrative Headquarters and the General Works Council. The Central Opportunities Officer is participating as an expert in the meetings of the committee. The body has an advisory function and meets twice a year.
